1 12 oz. can chickpeas or garbanzo beans
1/2 large onion, chopped

1 teaspoon hot red pepper
4 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon baking powder
6 tablespoons flour
Peanut oil for frying
garnish:
Chopped tomato
Diced onion
