This is a large acrylic and watercolor painting, 2 feet by 2 feet, on plywood. Make me an offer via email to buy it: cellar27door@yahoo.com Update: Sold! (To a librarian. I was excited to sell my first picture imagined from literature to a librarian, though she confessed she finds Lovecraft difficult to read- the picture is a gift for her husband.)
Little Z had to leave the room while I was painting it. "It's scary," she said.
I'm not sure what my gallery owner would say, considering that my current work there is cute sheep paintings and cats in clothes.
Should it be a series? More monsters? Any Lovecraft fans in the house?
At the Mountains of Madness is one of my faves, what the city of the Elder Things might look like has fascinated me.
ReplyDeleteSure! Monsters is good for ya. Btw, Lovecraft's main monster is Cthulhu in case that wasn't a typo. I know this because it took me forever to learn how to spell it! :o)

If you don't know about wordnik, you should check it out. A great site that started out as "Wordie" - it's basically a site for word lovers as well as a wonderful lexicographical resource.
Thank you so much! I will change... Love words. Thanks for the link, too.
